Saiman As Principal

By Saiman

If I was the principal of Drewicz, I would make Field Trips to Water Country, Six Flags, and Canobie Lake.  I would add a half hour of recess to the school day.  Buses would be limos.  Lunch would only be 15 minutes.  The menu would have chicken wings, cheese pizza and Dominos Pizza.

Dismissal time would be 3:00 pm and arrival would be 7:00 am.  Vacation would last two months.  You would only take Music if you want.  We would add an hour of gym.  I would start a soccer team.

Have a wonderful day!

School Lunch - Cafeteria Food Thoughts...

If you asked me about the school lunch, I would simply say, “I don’t like it...” Now don’t get me wrong, some lunches are delicious, like the cheese burgers. Some of you might like it but personally I’m not a big fan of the school lunch. For me, they serve too much vegetables and the pizza doesn’t really taste like actual pizza from Pizza Hut or Dominoes. The people who like the vegetables should go to a specific side of the cafeteria & the people who don’t like the vegetables

should go to the other side of the cafeteria & eat real pizza, burgers, & maybe some apple slices. Now again, this is just my thoughts.

What happens in

Mr. Serino's 3rd Grade ?

Today we interviewed Mr. Serino's 3rd grade about what they are learning this year.  In math they are learning about elapsed time. For example: If Juan went to soccer practice at 4:00P.M and came back at 6:00P.M how long was he at soccer practice? The answer is 2 hours.  In ELA, they are learning about reading drama and plays (5th Grade has also done this.)  In Science, they are learning about rocks, minerals, and volcanos. They might do a project on volcanos. How much do you know about volcanoes and minerals/rocks?  In Social Studies, they are learning about Native Americans and pilgrims also the city of Lynn.  The kids love the new recess and so does the teacher. The teacher loves the new recess because there are fewer accidents outside.

What Happens in Mrs. Lenihan's 4th Grade?'

Kianny Villar Santana

Today we interviewed Mrs. Lenihan’s 4th grade to find out what they are learning this year. In math, they are learning about division and learning how to do partial products. In ELA, they are doing literature circles and each person has a job.  One job is the summarizer, the summarizer writes two column notes and does a top down web.      There is also the word wizard where he/she finds all the hard words in the story and looks them up in a dictionary. Another job is the illustrator (drawer) where he/she illustrates the picture.  They also have a someone called the connector which basically connects a story to a story, your life or to the world.  In this classroom there are 25 students.

Today I went around the school with my photographer Johanca to go look at doors for Read Across America Day. We saw many great doors. On Wednesday March 2, 2016  many R.O.T.C, Firefighters, Dr. Latham, Dr. Tutwiler, Officer Magner, The Fire Chief, and Mrs. Stamm came to our school to read a variety of books to the students.

This classroom has also won the golden tray. They also have an adorable mascot named Archie. The teacher of this classroom as well likes the new recess rule, and says her students like it....

Valentine's Day

By Angelina S.

On Valentine’s Day each kid in the school can bring in a special gift for someone or a teacher.  Kids can bring candy but only if enough for everyone in your class. They can pass out candy like gummy hearts, heart lollipops, and chocolates.  They can bring in flowers for a special person or a special someone.

Valentine’s Day is all about love, and giving candy.  It is also called Saint Valentine’s Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine’s Day. Valentine’s is an annual holiday celebrated on February 14.  It started as a Western Christian feast day honoring one or more Saints named Valentinus and is celebrated in many regions around the world, although it is not a national holiday in any country.

We know the February is a month of romance.

4th vs 5th math facts
By Emily De Leon Diaz

The last time the 5th grade won the multiplication bee. The math teacher of the 4th grade is Ms. Anderson. She wants the trophy. She wants the 4th grade to win. The teacher of the 5th grade is MS. Miller. She wants the trophy. She wants to win again. We tried so hard but we lost the competition last time. Now the 4th grade is ready to win the math bee. I studied my multiplication so I could pass my tables and move on to my sevens. I am still in the sixes but I will study my tables so I can pass my tables in math class. What do you think will win?

Who do you want to win for president?
By Jonathan Contreras

Who do you want to win for president, is it Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, Jeff Boss or Ted Cruz? I want Hillary Clinton to win the election for president. I would like her to win because she will help immigrants from many countries. Ted Cruz will just want the immigrants who came to the U.S.A to leave and that’s dumb because he is Hispanic. Donald Trump doesn’t want any more immigrants to come to the U.S.A which stinks because people from other countries can’t come to the U.S.A to make a better life like other people have. I really don’t know the reasons why I don’t want Jeff Boss to win but I still want Hillary Clinton to win.

GUESS THAT TEACHER

SHE HAS FRECKLES.

SHE HAS REDDISH AND ORANGY HAIR.

SHE IS A FOURTH GRADE TEACHER AND SHE TEACHES SOCIAL STUDIES AND SCIENCE.

WHO COULD SHE BE?
